Asset Guard Solutions is led by Brandon Kimmel, a dedicated Lynnwood resident and business owner for over seven years. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Brandon brings more than 20 years of expertise in public and private security. His distinguished career includes serving in Federal, State, and County corrections departments, where he managed complex operations and achieved exceptional results.

Brandon’s experience includes leadership roles in the Federal Bureau of Prisons' Special Operations Response Teams (SORT), Disturbance Control Teams (DCT), and Hostage Negotiation Teams. These positions, requiring rigorous selection and specialized training, equipped him to manage high-stakes situations, including prison populations exceeding 2,000 inmates. As a SORT leader, Brandon consistently demonstrated expertise in maintaining safety and order in challenging environments.

His extensive certifications and training include firearms instruction, tactical planning, emergency medical care, physical training, riot control techniques, and the use of less-lethal munitions such as impact munitions, Oleoresin Capsicum Spray (pepper spray), and tear gas. Brandon has played a pivotal role in responding to prison riots and disturbances and has managed high-security living units, including assignments in federal correctional facilities across the United States.

 

Diverse Security Expertise

Brandon’s comprehensive security knowledge is further enriched by his experience in retail loss prevention. He has managed Loss Prevention Departments for major retailers, including Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue, in metropolitan areas such as Seattle, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, and Pittsburgh. His expertise includes shoplifting apprehension techniques, Organized Retail Crime investigations, interview and interrogation methods, employee theft prevention, and fraud investigations.
